On this #GIVINGTUESDAY we are asking that you consider donating to Artz for the Harp as we raise funds to provide free programming for children's hospitals, shelters and senior assisted living facilities. During our visits to the locations, we will be spreading holiday cheer through: a few harpy holiday tunes, a mini harp lesson for the residents, and by giving gifts to the youth and seniors who participate with us.
Our budgetary need for this project is $1250.00.
This total includes:
$350.00 bus transportation to 4 locations
$100.00- meals for volunteers and performers
$800.00: 80 gifts minimum for residents at 4 facilities
(20 residents minimum served per facilitiy @ $10.00 per gift)
No donation is too small to help us reach our goal. You may also donate new toys and or gifts of need for our seniors.( no stuffed animals, toy guns, or small choking hazard toys)
Beyond our #GIVINGTUESDAY holiday need, AFTH is accepting donations throughout the year for our many free and subsidized programs provided throughout Atlanta and the surrounding areas.
Please read below for further details on our needs:
Artz for the Harp Corporation is a non-profit public benefit 501(c) (3) Organization registered with the state of Georgia. We provide harp enrichment and harp music therapy classes to those who need us most. Our " Angel Harp" programs provide free harp sessions to students in children's hospitals, homes, shelters, long term care faciilities and students' in low income communities.
Your much needed donations will go towards the sustainment of our community youth and senior harp programs, and towards our Angel Harp Program . Your donation is tax-deductible, and you will receive a letter for your records. Your personal, honorary or memorial donation will allow us to continue to provide instruments and quality music education programs to those who need us most!
If you would like to donate one of our packages to a youth or senior organization, you may do so by contacting us directly. Upon completion, you will receive your donation thank you letter for your records, and information on when services will take place.
AFTH programs are contracted by various facilities who see their students in desperate need of music enrichment because their schools, or community centers no longer offer them due to funding. These programs have the ability to engage students and provide them with meaningful skills that will transfer into other areas of their lives in the future.
If you can not donate at this time, please consider being a future volunteer because there are many ways you can still help AFTH to make a difference.
